What is the Difference Between the Paris Apartment Style and Boho Chic Home Decor

What is the Difference Between the Paris Apartment Style and Boho Chic Home Decor and why do I mention it here?

Well first because it is where I received my first inspiration.

The Paris Apartment style to me is cozy, lived-in, and feels like it has a story to tell. There is a mix of vintage and modern pieces that all work together to create a lived in look on the other hand The Boho look is bright and bold. Eclectic furniture, with bold colors, and lots of statement pieces. A home that is full of life and has a fun, free-spirited vibe. A Boho home would also include what is called Ethnic pieces where as PAS would rely more on vintage and old-world decor.

I have moved on from the Paris Apartment Style because it was more vintage looking than I wanted but it was the first place I had an idea of the style I liked. The book I'm showing is just a reference to give you an idea of where I drew my first inspirations. A few years ago I actually re-did a dresser hoping to recreate a piece I saw on another blog and found out my taste actually ran more towards boho chic/ boho decor and fashion. (I'll post a picture at a later date). Another book I took a look at is more where I am now.

While, both homes are cozy and lived-in, the Paris apartment style is more refined and understated, while the Boho style is bolder and more eclectic. The Paris apartment style is all about mixing vintage and modern pieces for a timeless look, while the Boho style is all about making a statement and having fun with your decor. See below for some additional references to help nail down the look.
